With reasonable rates and plenty of love, we accept dogs of all sizes with a flat fee of only $10 per dog per night. Remember to bring their bed along with their favorite toys. As well as their collar and leash. Rooms and suites have romantic fireplaces, flat panel televisions, and most include fully equipped kitchens which have all recently been refurbished. Suites have a fireplace in the bedroom and living room and large flat panel televisions in both rooms. Kitchen floors are tile which dogs love after a long hike. Walk into any of the rooms and feel comfortable in your “home away from home”.

Our colorful courtyard, on sunny mornings, is all the buzz. Guests chat over coffee and exchange all their “finds” in Santa Barbara. Photographing the humming birds is always a rewarding challenge while they feed from the birds of paradise and other flowers surrounding the courtyard. Discussing farmers market is quite a conversation piece as most rooms and suites have full kitchens and guests can prepare a fresh local fruit plate for breakfast or a nice salad for lunch.

The Beach House Inn is in close proximity to a local favorite market that carries a fantastic variety of prepared foods which is a great place to pick up for a picnic on your way to Shoreline Park to watch the sailboats, dolphins and migrating whales. Shoreline Park, the perfect spot to meet other dog owners and walk amongst the locals, is an experience you will always remember. On Sundays, there is a wonderful art show close by on Cabrillo Boulevard. The art show features many local artists, and it is hard not to buy something for you or your pal. On the way back to the Inn, you will be delighted to find a historic carousel, and pausing for a bit to take a ride will bring back your most treasured childhood memories.

You can touch sharks at the Ty Warner Sea Center on Stearns Wharf, rent bikes on the sea front, or for the more daring, go kayaking and enjoy a close encounter with a dolphin or sea lion. The Santa Barbara mission, which is the queen of missions in California, has an educational museum, and is nearby. The Museum of Natural History, which is a kid favorite, and features Chad, the blue whale, who’s skeleton is on display in front of the building, as part of the museum’s restoration project.

The Beach House Inn is in walking distance to State Street, where you will find unique boutique shops as well as Paseo Nuevo, our downtown mall, that welcomes you and your dog. Outdoor restaurants are scattered along State Street, and you will find any type of cuisine you desire. Santa Barbara has great theatres including the beautiful Arlington, Granada, and Lobero plus the out-door Santa Barbara Bowl amongst several others.

A 10 day international Film Festival is a very special event held here each year. It is always a good time to see your favorite celebrities close up walking the red carpet. For a small beach town it has it all. Earl Warren Showgrounds has an event almost every weekend including dog, horse and flower shows. You name it and Santa Barbara has it, even antique and gem shows are very popular plus a weekly swap meet.

The Summer months bring the Greek, Italian, and French festivals. Lots of ethnic food and dancing. The French Festival has a parade for French Poodles in costume of course. There is nothing like a great parade. Santa Barbara loves them. Solstice (June), Independence Day (July), Fiesta (August) and of course Christmas with Santa on State Street.
