Since our last entry, the fun, adventrue, and bliss has not waned. We spent one more night in La Ceiba on the mainland where we took a little time to explore the city (pretty unremarkable, but their markets are incredible--you almost wouldn't ever need to go the grocery store--fruits, veggies, grains, spices, coffee, tea, natural remedies, etc.). From the mainland we hopped on a ferry (just people, no cars) to Roatan, the middle and largest of the Bay Islands. If we were in heaven in the jungle, we are in paradise here. We've been diving everyday since last saturday, at least twice a day, and actually did a night dive a couple of evenings back. The reef starts about 200 yds from the shore so if we had our kayaks here, we could actually just paddle out to some of the best diving in the world. We've hooked up with a pretty cool dive shop here on the island and they've been showing us a great time (at our expense, of course!). Yesterday we took a boat about 20 miles up the coast of the island to do some deep diving--we got down to about 95 feet on two differnt dives. We've seen giant crabs, spiny lobsters, sea turtles, nudibranches, shrimp, lots of fish, and beautiful reefs.
